DMS Lighting has a selectrion of DMX based control products designed specifically for LED based RGB and RGBA lighting products. What makes these products special is that they work by provided a stand alone program or DMX controlled program that provides a constant current supply to the LED lamp sources. For instance, the ColorRay DMX Driver provides contant current signal for RGBA channels (8 outputs) of 350ma or 750ma up to 24V or 48V depending on the model. This allows you to connect RGBA products directly to the constant current control channels without any need for special interface electronics. Since LEDs are subject to inverse temperature coefficients resulting in thermal runaway problems, this driving method must be employed to negate this effect.
This simply means that the difference between standard light dimmers and our products are that these products are specifically designed for the control of LED based lighting products.
